2019 Graduation, Honors, and Awards

Congratulations to our graduating seniors!!

  • Claire Herbert will be attending the University of California - Irvine in pursuit of a PhD in chemistry

  • Ademilola Tejuoso will be matriculating to the University of Louisville for medical school

On April 24, 2019, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry held its annual awards ceremony to celebrate the hard work of all its students. Once again, the Becker lab was very well-represented:

Congratulations Dr. Tahirah K. Heath on the successful Defense of her Dissertation

We are proud to announce that Dr. Tahirah K. Heath successfully defended her dissertation, with Distinction, today! Over the years, Dr. Heath has dedicated a tremendous amount of time and energy to her work in both organic synthesis and the development of the ninhydrin-based dapE assay. On behalf of the Becker lab, we wish you the best in everything as you embark this new chapter of life!
